A statement from the Philippine government said the four-day ASEAN Ministerial Meeting on Transnational Crimes (AMMTC) will be chaired by Catalino Cuy, officer-in-charge of the Department of Interior and Local Government (DILG).
One of the highlights of the event is the second special ASEAN Ministerial Meeting on the Rise of Radicalization and Violent Extremism (SAMMRRVE), which will be convened "to provide a platform for ASEAN member states to exchange experiences, views, and ideas on the best practices in handling the issues of radicalization and violent extremism."

Ministers and officials of China, Japan and the Republic of Korea will actively participate as dialogue partners, the statement read.

WASHINGTON, Sept. 17 (Xinhua) -- Tropical Storm Maria is expected to become a hurricane Sunday as it heads toward Caribbean islands battered by Hurricane Irma earlier this month, the U.S. National Hurricane Center said Sunday.
Maria was centered about 655 km east-southeast of the Lesser Antilles and was moving west-northwest at 24 km per hour, with maximum sustained winds of 100 km per hour, according to an advisory Sunday morning.
On the forecast track, the center of Maria will be near the Leeward Islands cheap nike react element 87 black , northeast Caribbean Sea, Monday night and is expected to hit islands devastated by Irma as a Category-5 hurricane, including St. Martin, St. Barts and Antigua and Barbuda.
